As a denim enthusiast, my collection is filled with various canvas sneakers from global brands like Converse and Vans. However, I was searching for a new "archive" item—something beyond the common mass-produced staples. That’s when I discovered Catchball.
It’s clear that Catchball hasn't just made another sneaker; they've created a "collection of technology and design" that stands toe-to-toe with any international heritage brand.
I spent a long time deliberating between the standard M-01 in 'Shell White' or 'Mustard' and the collaboration-exclusive 'Reef Coral.' Ultimately, I chose Reef Coral. Its unique, pastel-toned depth provides an elegant and sophisticated contrast when paired with my favorite indigo denim.

The M-01 is designed with a relatively generous width. While it generally fits true to size, I highly recommend going half-size up if you have wide feet, a high instep, or if you usually wear a size ending in 5mm.
I typically wear a 250-255mm, but due to my flat feet and high instep, I opted for a 260mm. This choice allows for a perfect "Tight Lacing" silhouette without sacrificing comfort or feeling restricted.
The most striking feature for me was the comfort. Expecting the stiffness typical of vintage reproductions, I was surprised by the Ortholite insole. It feels like high-density memory foam, offering incredible cushioning that supports even the most challenging foot conditions. Now I understand why Catchball emphasizes their insole technology so prominently.
03. On-Feet

True to its canvas heritage, these sneakers pair perfectly with denim. Whether it’s a slim-tapered fit or a wide-leg silhouette, they work seamlessly with both stacked and cuffed hems.
