[Review] PBJ (Pure Blue Japan) XX-011 3-Years Selvedge Denim: Shaped by Time

  Hello, this is  Lislab . While many brands are hailed as the pride of Japanese denim, PBJ(Pure Blue Japan) stands in a league of its own, solely due to its unparalleled fabric texture. Renowned for its signature "slubby" and rugged feel, PBJ is famous for maintaining this unique texture while employing distinctive construction methods that set it apart from standard denim. Today, I’m introducing the PBJ XX-011 , a model that utilizes Left-hand Twill(LHT) to offer both unique fading characteristics and a surprisingly comfortable fit. Let’s dive into the detailed data of how PBJ’s "blue obsession" has evolved after spending over three years with me. [Lislab] Why I Embrace the Density of Recording: Between My Diary and Stiff Denim

Hello, this is Lislab.

Every day, as soon as I arrive at the office, I start my morning by grabbing a cup of coffee and a pen. Writing down my to-do list and a few meaningful quotes in my diary is a ritual that marks the beginning of my day.

Since starting this blog, I’ve had many thoughts—which items to showcase and what stories to tell. Interestingly, those thoughts always lead me back to the time I spend drafting posts by hand in my diary. It has become the most enjoyable part of my day.

01. Why I Choose Analog Records in a Digital Age

In this digital age, people often ask why I persist with a physical diary and a pen. The reason is simple: the "resistance" felt at my fingertips. It forces me to think twice before I write and makes my thoughts significantly sharper.

Just as I learned in my school days that writing things down is more effective and memorable than just reading, I believe the same applies to the records of our lives.

02. The Journey of A.P.C. Denim and My Blog

"A good item doesn't just age;
it grows to resemble its owner."

The A.P.C. (Petit New Standard) denim I am wearing today is just like this blog—it has only been two weeks since it started recording time and memories with me.

It is still as stiff as armor and feels unfamiliar. However, watching the creases gradually find their place with every movement, I realize that the habits and time I spend building "Lislab" are being engraved onto this fabric.

Closing: The Value of Empathy and Sharing at Lislab

My records and reviews are not just about delivering information. I want to empathize and share the "value" of the items I personally wear, use, and touch.

Sometimes I wish I could keep my writing brief, but as I revisit the values and experiences I’ve felt, the posts naturally grow longer. While these long reads might feel heavy to some, I hope you see them as evidence of my sincerity toward these items.

I hope my dense records resonate with you and serve as a reliable guide when choosing your own "lifetime items." Just as this denim will soften and fit my body over time, I look forward to the density of my records growing deeper as well.

Thank you for reading this long journey.

Sincerely, Lislab
